Testimonials
The funding from Give Northants was used to provide free strength and balance classes for those with cancer, who are in remission, and for their relatives and carers.
These classes enable attendees to get stronger and fitter, improve their flexibility and balance, and become less likely to suffer falls. We are also able to spend time after the classes chatting with people, hearing their stories and building a community which boosts people's independence and confidence.
The help of Give Northants is vital in enabling us to continue supplying this service for free. Without it, the classes would either have to stop altogether or we would have to charge for them, meaning those who are not financially well off might not be able to attend.

Thanks to the generous support of Give Northants, KidsAid was able to deliver vital group therapy sessions for young people who had struggled with drug and alcohol use linked to their lived experiences and trauma.
This funding enabled us to create a safe, trauma-informed and supportive space where young people could connect with others who understood their experiences, explore creative expression, and develop healthier coping strategies to manage overwhelming emotions.
Participants told us they felt more confident, better equipped to regulate their emotions, and more hopeful about their futures. For many, the group reduced feelings of isolation and helped them realise they were not alone in their experiences.
We are incredibly grateful for this investment in young people’s mental health and wellbeing, which has made a meaningful difference in our community.

Each year we have to recruit new volunteer crew to either expand our numbers or replace some that have had to finally draw their volunteering days to a close. In 2025, for example, we took on 15 new volunteers.
The funding we have received from Give Northants has helped cover the costs of crew training as well as replace ageing equipment.

The continued support of the trust is a great source of encouragement to all of us involved with the work of Spencer Contact, and will help us to continue our work in providing furniture and household items to those in desperate need in Northampton.

As a charity we aim to improve the lives of people in the local community and fill the gap left by the closure of children’s centres. We had identified a lack of knowledge around healthy food and cooking skills in our families. The funding we were kindly awarded has been used to promote health diets and lifestyles in the local area.
