Our funding focus

GIVE Northants provides grants of up to £2,000 to support small, locally-based organisations delivering projects that make a clear and direct difference within their communities.

As a small charity ourselves, our focus is on supporting grassroots initiatives, where relatively modest funding can have a significant and immediate impact.

We are particularly interested in projects that:

  • Deliver tangible benefits to local people
  • Address identified community needs
  • Demonstrate clear outcomes and impact
  • Show how funding will be used directly to support delivery

Eligibility

We welcome applications from:

  • Registered charities
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs)

Organisations must:

  • Have been operating for a minimum of 12 months
  • Be based in, or delivering work within, Northamptonshire
  • Be able to clearly demonstrate how the funding will be used and the impact it will achieve

Our approach to funding

Priority will be given to:

  • Registered charities
  • Smaller organisations with limited access to alternative funding
  • Projects delivering clear, measurable local impact

We will consider applications from CICs where they can demonstrate strong governance, clear community benefit, and transparency in how funds will be used.

What we fund

We fund specific projects, activities or items that directly support delivery within the community.

Examples may include:

  • Equipment required to deliver a programme
  • Materials or resources for a defined project
  • Costs directly linked to running a specific activity or initiative

What we do not fund

We do not provide funding for general operating or core costs, including:

  • Salaries or ongoing staffing costs
  • Rent, utilities or general overheads
  • Ongoing organisational running costs

Our funding is intended to support discrete projects with a clear beginning, purpose and measurable impact, rather than ongoing organisational expenses.

Please Note

Due to the size and purpose of our grants,w e are unlikely to fund large or well-established organisations with significant existing income.

We focus on supporting organisations where our funding will make a meaningful difference.
